Tendon & ligament injuries in Kingston.

Individualized rehabilitation for new injuries and persistent concerns.

Start with what matters to you.

A tendon or ligament injury can interrupt work, hobbies and exercise. We assess a broad range of musculoskeletal injuries, including elbow, shoulder, Achilles and knee tendon concerns, as well as joint sprains.

Common conditions we assess

  • Rotator cuff tendinitis and tendinosis
  • Achilles tendinitis
  • Patellar tendinitis (jumper’s knee)
  • Elbow tendinopathy
  • Sprains of the ankle, knee and other joints
  • Muscle strains

These are examples, not a diagnosis or a fixed treatment plan. We assess what is causing your symptoms, how they affect your life and what you want to regain. Your plan draws on current research, clinical judgement and your response to care. For suitable musculoskeletal presentations, high-power Class IV laser or radial or focused shockwave may also have a role.

Your assessment

We start with your history and the movements or loads that bring on symptoms. Assessment helps establish your starting point and whether additional medical evaluation is needed.

Your rehabilitation plan

Your physiotherapist will work with you on an appropriate progression of activity and exercise. Shockwave is one of the options we may consider for suitable presentations, alongside a wider rehabilitation plan.

Recovery goals that fit your life

Your goals might include lifting, gripping, running or returning to activities after a sprain or strain. We turn those priorities into a plan that fits your daily routine.

What to discuss at your first visit

Describe how the injury began, the activities that provoke it and the physical demands you need to return to. Your comprehensive physical assessment includes treatment at the same visit.

How we review your progress

We build your activity progression around your current capacity and review your response as demands increase. Follow-up visits give us time to review your response, answer questions and adjust your exercise and hands-on care.

Technology within your rehabilitation plan

Our commitment to evidence-informed practice means choosing treatment around your assessment findings and recovery goals. Where appropriate, radial or focus shockwave and high-power Class IV laser can form part of your care alongside exercise and hands-on treatment. These technologies are included in your physiotherapy fee, with no additional charge.
