Every visit has a purpose
Your follow-up appointment is 30 minutes. We build on your assessment, ask how you have responded and decide what to work on next. The plan should make sense to you, including what you can do between visits.
We provide care for a wide range of musculoskeletal and orthopaedic concerns involving joints, muscles, tendons, ligaments and nerves, including rehabilitation after injury or surgery.
What can treatment include?
- Exercise and movement practice. Build the strength, mobility, balance or endurance relevant to your goals.
- Hands-on care. Selected joint and soft-tissue techniques may help with comfort and movement.
- Education and activity guidance. Understand how to manage daily demands and progress activity.
- Technology when appropriate. Class IV laser, radial shockwave or focus shockwave may have a role for selected presentations.
- Other options. Appropriately trained team members may offer acupuncture or dry needling when suitable and with your consent.
Supporting healing and rebuilding capacity
Feeling less pain is valuable, but recovery also involves being able to do more. We help you work toward the loads and movements your life requires, at a pace suited to your condition.
A tendon plan might begin with manageable strengthening and build toward longer walks, lifting or sport. After surgery, progression must also respect your procedure and surgical instructions. There is no single exercise sequence that fits everyone.
How we track progress
We agree on practical markers such as walking distance, reaching ability, grip strength or ease on stairs. Your feedback, physical reassessment and response between visits guide the next step.
If progress slows, we review possible contributors: the exercise dose, activity demands, treatment selection, health factors or whether further assessment is needed. We can adjust the plan rather than continue a treatment without a clear purpose.
A manageable plan between appointments
Tell us how much time, space and equipment you have. A program you understand and can fit into daily life is more useful than an unrealistic list of exercises. Ask us to demonstrate a movement again or help adapt it if it is difficult.
Working toward independence
As you progress, we discuss when to change the spacing of appointments and how to continue independently. Some people need a short period of support; others benefit from a longer or intermittent plan. Your needs and response guide that decision.
Radial shockwave, focus shockwave and Class IV laser are included in your physiotherapy fee when appropriate, with no additional charge. Fees and insurance details.
Your questions, answered
Should treatment hurt?
Some rehabilitation can involve discomfort, but the acceptable response depends on your condition. We will explain what to expect and when to modify an activity or contact us. Tell your physiotherapist if a treatment feels too uncomfortable.
Will every visit include laser or shockwave?
Only when there is a reason to use it. Your treatment choices can change as symptoms settle and your rehabilitation progresses.
