Start with what matters to you.
We support outpatient recovery following orthopaedic procedures, including joint replacement and soft tissue surgery. Your plan is shaped by your procedure and any guidance from your surgical team.
Common conditions we assess
- Rehabilitation after back surgery
- Hip surgery and replacement
- Knee surgery and replacement
- Ankle surgery
These are examples, not a diagnosis or a fixed treatment plan. We assess what is causing your symptoms, how they affect your life and what you want to regain. Your plan draws on current research, clinical judgement and your response to care.
Your assessment
Bring your discharge information, surgeon’s instructions and any movement or weight-bearing restrictions. We assess your current abilities and discuss the everyday tasks you want to work toward.
Your rehabilitation plan
Treatment may focus on movement, strength, walking, balance and a progressive return to activity. Your physiotherapist adapts the pace to your recovery and coordinates with your care team when appropriate.
Recovery goals that fit your life
Your goals might include walking confidently, managing stairs, dressing independently or returning to work. We turn those priorities into a plan that fits your daily routine.
What to discuss at your first visit
Bring your procedure details, follow-up dates and your surgical team’s rehabilitation instructions. Your comprehensive physical assessment includes treatment at the same visit.
How we review your progress
Your surgeon’s restrictions and your assessment findings guide progression; milestones are adapted to your procedure and goals. Follow-up visits give us time to review your response, answer questions and adjust your exercise and hands-on care.
