Foot, ankle & heel pain in Kingston.

Help with the movement that carries you through your day.

Start with what matters to you.

Foot, ankle or heel symptoms may interfere with standing, walking, running or work. Our physiotherapists assess concerns including ankle injuries, plantar heel pain and Achilles tendon problems.

Common conditions we assess

  • Plantar fasciitis (plantar heel pain)
  • Achilles tendinitis and tendinosis
  • Ankle sprains
  • Metatarsalgia (forefoot pain)
  • Medial tibial stress syndrome (shin splints)

These are examples, not a diagnosis or a fixed treatment plan. We assess what is causing your symptoms, how they affect your life and what you want to regain. Your plan draws on current research, clinical judgement and your response to care. For suitable musculoskeletal presentations, high-power Class IV laser or radial or focused shockwave may also have a role.

Your assessment

We discuss where and when symptoms occur, recent changes in activity and the demands of your daily life. Relevant movement, strength and functional checks help guide the plan.

Your rehabilitation plan

Rehabilitation may include exercise, changes to activity and hands-on care. Radial or focus shockwave may be discussed when appropriate to your condition; it is not automatically needed for every foot or heel problem.

Is plantar fasciitis the same as every kind of heel pain?

No. Plantar fasciitis is a common name for plantar heel pain, but heel symptoms can have different causes. We assess the location and pattern of pain, walking and activity demands before recommending an exercise plan or considering shockwave.

Recovery goals that fit your life

Your goals might include standing at work, walking on uneven ground, running or returning to sport. We turn those priorities into a plan that fits your daily routine.

What to discuss at your first visit

Bring the footwear you commonly use and describe changes in walking, running, work demands or training. Your comprehensive physical assessment includes treatment at the same visit.

How we review your progress

Your physiotherapist can use walking tolerance, strength and balance tasks relevant to your goals to monitor progress. Follow-up visits give us time to review your response, answer questions and adjust your exercise and hands-on care.

Technology within your rehabilitation plan

Our commitment to evidence-informed practice means choosing treatment around your assessment findings and recovery goals. Where appropriate, radial or focus shockwave and high-power Class IV laser can form part of your care alongside exercise and hands-on treatment. These technologies are included in your physiotherapy fee, with no additional charge.
